She has since worked for Air Products and Chemicals for over 5 years in various process engineering positions, two of which were at plants, allowing her to gain practical engineering experience through hands-on learning and problem-solving. Erika has been a committed member of the EWB-LVP chapter since 2008 and has previously served two consecutive terms as chapter secretary.
Carl Zvanut - Vice President Carl Zvanut is currently the Director of Merchant R&D at Air Products. He has a BS from Lehigh University and a PhD from Cornell, both in Chemical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.
Susana Ramos - Secretary Susana Ramos graduated from Lehigh University in 2010 with a Master of Science in Chemistry. She has been working in Research and Development for Performance Material at Air Products and has been heavily involved with the Kutztown Rotary Club and EWB-LV Projects. Susana was the Past EWB-LV Webmaster, 2010-2011. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, walking, traveling, and listening to pop music.
Jamee Pemberton - Treasurer Jamee Pemberton has her own business as an engineering consultant. She has over 25 years of engineering experience in chemical process and plant designs. She is a 1982 graduate of the University of Detroit with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Prior to starting Pemberton Consulting, Inc., she was a Senior Process Engineer for Specialty Minerals (formerly Pfizer) where she worked for 19 years. Before that she worked for Union Carbide Corp., Linde Division in Air Separation and Specialty Gas Plants as a plant and staff engineer, she also was a maintenance and customer service supervisor. Prior joining Lafayette College, he was a research scientist at ML Energia, Inc., in Princeton, New Jersey. His main teaching areas are reaction kinetics and reactor design, chemical engineering laboratories, chemical processes in environmental engineering, and alternative energy sources. His research focuses on renewable energy, catalysis, industrial wastewater treatment, and hazardous waste treatment. Javad has earned his Ph.D. from New Jersey Institute of technology in 1988, M.S. from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1978, and B.S. from Shiraz University (Iran) in 1973, all in chemical engineering. He has travelled with EWB students of Lafayette College to Honduras and joined EWB-LVP since 2008.
