| Executive Committee  Sean C. Dooley, Ph.D - President
Sean Dooley graduated from Lehigh University in 1998 with a B.A. in Architecture and a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus in structures. Upon graduation he worked six months for the Swiss structural engineer Jurg Conzett in Chur, Switzerland before earning his doctorate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne in 2004. While completing his doctorate, Dr. Dooley collaborated with his architect-wife to design and oversee the construction of a community health and education center in Sierra Leone, Western Africa, for the non-governmental organization Mercy Ships. This experience inspired him to pursue a career in site civil because of this discipline's profound impact on the appearance of the built environment and on overall environmental health. Dr. Dooley presently works for the civil engineering company Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc., in their Bethlehem, Pennsylvania office and resides in Stockertown, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children. He is Chairman of the Stockertown Borough Planning Commission, Secretary-Elect of the Lehigh Valley Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a Steering Committee Member of the Lehigh Valley Branch of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, and a member of the Pennsylvania Planning Association Herb Klotz - Vice President
Herb is currently Manager of the Innovation Process Center at Air Products and Chemicals. The Innovation Process Center manages the infrastructure, processes, metrics and education associated with new offering development. His twenty nine year career at Air Products has included a variety of research roles in thermodynamic modeling, computational chemistry and laboratory automation, and technology management roles in air separation technology and intellectual asset management. Herb graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1980 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and earned an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1985. He has previously served as chair of the communications committee of EWB-LVP. E-mail: klotzhc@airproducts.com  Erika Squitieri - Secretary Erika Squitieri graduated with honors from Villanova University in 2005 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. She has since worked for Air Products in 3 different process positions, currently in Asset Management. She has been in the field for her previous 2 assignments, gaining practical engineering experience through hands-on learning and problem-solving. Ron Pearlstein - Treasurer
Ronald Pearlstein was born in 1962 in Philadelphia, PA. After completing a BA degree in chemistry and a BS degree in chemical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 1884, he attended MIT where he earned a Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry in 1988. In 1989, he joined Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. where he has been involved in various product and process research and development projects and is currently a research associate in the Global Technology department. He has served on the communication committee and helped to develop the EWB-LehighValley website. His interests include bicycling and renewable energy. John Cirucci received his BS Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and his MS Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1992. He has worked at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. since 1981, holding various positions in applications developments, process design and process technology development. He holds 11 patents in reaction and separation processes. John joined Engineers Without Borders in 2006 and affiliated with the Mid-Atlantic Professionals chapter (Philadelphia). In Spring of 2007 he become a professional mentor for the Lehigh University student chapter. He is actively working with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) to form a national partnership with EWB and is the chair of the newly formed EWB Liaison Committee of AIChE. He also serves on the AIChE Societal Impact Operating Council and is the AIChE Ambassador to Lehigh University. John resides near Schnecksville, Pennsylvania with his two children and wife, Lori, who teaches Science in the Bethlehem Area School District. He enjoys hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, reading, garage science and many other temporal hobbies. | |
