What is Engineers Without Borders?

Engineers Without Borders - USA is a non-profit, humanitarian organization that partners with developing communities worldwide to improve their quality of life.

Working with EWB, communities are empowered to implement sustainable engineering solutions to meet essential needs, including:

  • Safe and sanitary water supply
  • Reliable energy systems
  • Shelter
  • Transportation
  • Education

The Lehigh Valley Professional Chapter was formed in January 2008.

We fulfill the mission of EWB through project work in developing communities and mentorship with active student chapters at Lehigh University, Lafayette College and other regional schools. The chapter represents the greater Lehigh Valley area including Lehigh, Northampton, Hunterdon and surrounding counties.
